Sigurjón's Friends - "Aftur Heim"
Composed by:
Sigurjón Brink/Þórunn Erna Clausen
Iceland in the Eurovision Song Contest 2011
Margúnn, Frank Ólafursson, Diána Sólomonsdóttir, Irén Sjér, Malkólm & Kristján Róbertsson finally realised they were in fact the late Sigurjón Brink's friends, so they've now settled on a catchier band name than in the first Icelandic semifinal. It's rumoured they considered 'The Swarbriggs Minus The Swarbriggs Plus Six', but this has not been confirmed.
Whether they won the Icelandic final on musical merit or for more sentimental reasons will forever remain a mystery, but seeing as it resulted in a good old bitch-strop by Yohanna, who cares, really?

Useful Information About Iceland
This sweet little island is trying to emerge from crippling economic devastation that has rocked its foundation in the last several years. Currently owned by a lesbian, British pensioners, the Russian government and the EU.
Iceland's most recent call to fame was covering the continent with a ginormous angry gray cloud of volcanic gook, who placed 19th in Eurovision 2010. Eyjafjallajökull wasn't much fun either.
