Germany in the Eurovision Song Contest 2011

Lena, who has already represented Germany in 1981 and 2010, was internally selected by NDR to sing for Germany.

12 songs of her new album competed, making it possibly the largest single-artist televised ESC national selection in history, and an entire album with 3 minute songs.

Useful Information About Germany

The only Big 4 country to win the contest since 1997, Germany will be betting its luck again on Lena. The honour of hosting this year's contest fell into the lap of the mega metropolis and cultural magnet of Düsseldorf, after Berlin's airport tent was astonishingly deemed as inappropriate. Fans will be treated to the acoustic marvels of a giant football stadium and sky high accommodation costs, not to mention Germany's version of Eurovision saran-wrap - that aging queen Stefan Raab yelling in their ears for 3 nights.

One thing working in Lena's favour are the almost guaranteed high points from now-owned Greece and Ireland + the return of Austria.
